Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Azmi, born 10th April 1986 in India is an actor who has primarily appeared on Hindi films. In 2004 Ayesha Takia was awarded the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her performance as the lead on Taarzan The Wonder Car which was her first acting role. In the following years, Takia was in films like Paathshaala (2011) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2006) and Socha Na Tha (2007). Her first appearance was in a Complan commercial. Shahid Kapoor was her co-star in their famous I'm Complan Guy and I'm Complan gal commercial. The remix track Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin was also included her. The song's popularity on the streets of India throughout its remix phase led to her becoming famous. Soon she was receiving film offers. Takia is supposed to make her debut in Socha Na Tha due to delay in production, only made aware of Taarzan after her debut. In the event that she criticised her political father-in law Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi's opinion on retribution for victims of rape, Ayesha demonstrated her moral resolve. She declared her veganism public, when she was a part in PETA's Indian advertisement. In 2006, Ayesha Takia was listed as one of the Top 100 most desirable women in India.
