Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix realized early on that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her initial attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest to win the 200-meter race at the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title once again in 2007, defeating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in her respective events.
